Journey of a multi-task entrepreneur. Interview with Adji Ahoudian
Many people are trying to make a name for themselves in a hopeless position among hundreds of others who are trying to climb up a broken and slippery corporate ladder. As more and more fall off the ladder, a smart group of people are finally starting to learn that they might be better off building their own ladder than trusting someone else’s. In today’s economy, becoming an entrepreneur is not only an increasingly popular choice, it is more feasible for men and women to achieve. And some, even luckier, do create successful business the classic way: aware of the economic, social and technologic changes and working hard to make it valuable and worth.
Adji Ahoudian is one of them. Philanthropist, serial entrepreneur, his latest venture is Tiina Songo. It provides, expertise, construction and renovation support to match your projects and budget, so you can have your livable and valuable space.
Ahoudian’ biggest challenge, he says, is maintaining focus amidst the plethora of great ideas and potential collaborators. His goal is to continue to form strategic partnerships in service of the goal of bringing great professionals and an ever present customer service to people’s doorsteps.
The most rewarding for him is the kind of joy brought to people’s lives when they realize they can afford to create a home that they are happy to return to each evening, where they can spend time relaxing or entertaining guests. The happiness of his clients is his main priority. Second is that of his contractors.
The following is an interview between myself and Adji Ahoudian about his experiences as an entrepreneur and what the future holds for his business and himself.
AA Have you always been an entrepreneur?
Not at all. I have always worked in the social field since the age of 18
AA: What was your first business?
Two years ago, I opened my own firm specialized in laws and rights for the foreigners.
AA: Tell us about Tiina Songo?
Tiina-Songo means the house of hope. It is a company specialized in interior renovation work, emergency interventions (electricity, plumbing), repair of household appliances, installation of kitchen etc ...
AA: What makes the difference between your business and its concurrents?
Our first ambition is to satisfy our customers both by the quality of the work and the cost of our services.
AA: Have you had any failures, if so, what has been your greatest failure and how did you recover/move on?
We are in the midst of development so we hope not to encounter too many failures even if it is part of the learning
AA: Do you ever see yourself working for someone else in the future?
I do not know what tomorrow will be made of but I work to allow the development of my company.
AA: What has been the hardest obstacle to your success?
To this day, our major obstacle is the lack of visibility.
AA: What is your advice to young people who may not think that being an entrepreneur is a possibility for them?
As an individual, I never thought of becoming an entrepreneur and yet that is the case. You must not be afraid of taking risk.
AA: Worst business advice you have ever gotten?
I have a pretty caring entourage so I get gold advice
AA: Who has been the most influential person to your journey as an entrepreneur?
My mother, a woman full of energy.
AA: Is home interior design is something you think about in order to provide a whole package to your customers?
Yes of course. Each client is unique. We try to adapt to their requests.
AA: What is next for you as an entrepreneur?
Develop partnerships to have more customers.
