Mosaic artists

His peregrinations has created within a fascination for long distance travels and the arts.
It is from 2003 that he fell in love with ceramics. The present aspect of his work is the result of his various training sessions with, among others, ceramists such Hiu Chang and Kristin Mac Kirdy.
Art is the inexhaustible interrogation in a path that one takes in order to apprehend existence, and men temporality.
If the path of self-discovery goes through creation, then the art of ceramics, in the way that it unifies two important elements such as sculpture and painting, constitutes a solid foundation in this quest
The canvas, the paper or the soil parcel are approached after a long meditation by the gesture, in order to reach freely an inner reflection; in order to transcribe elements that the memory and the eye give back. The paintings or modeled / sculpted, objects tell an acurate story , mood swings. Chromatic research and abstraction are mandatory. The techniques are mixed and everlasting.
Starting as a mud of minerals this layer of glass is born from which one seeks the aspect of the surface, the penetration of the light in the thickness and the sensation to the touch
Living in Belleville since back in 2004, that artist conceives stoneware ceramics in a lathe in burning at 1300 °. Everything is home made.
The artist in her own words: I spent hours collecting and sea shells, shells and seeds.
They are all around us, on the beaches and in the forests, at the mountaintops and in the fields, sheltering a fruit or a small animal.
They are tiny and always beautiful.
They make you dream and travel. So now I create small shells and sandstone seeds, then I enamel them at 1260 degrees in oxidizing cooking.
A strong taste for the material and the color, will lead our artist from weaving, that she has discovered with Maïté Tanguy and has practiced for many years, to the ceramics that she get initiated by Agnès Nivot.
Her practice is obsessive in the setting of accumulation, but is centered around the themes of disappearance and erasure

« The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands, but in seeing with new eyes. »

Marcel Proust

Thank you for the visit of last Saturday, which is a great discovery for me.

I liked a lot meeting the inhabitants and the small group which also allows to exchange our impressions between us. I also liked the small explanations in reference to the history of Paris, which I didn’t know. And the guides, of course, and the small attentions, the hot chocolate, the juice of bissap… Thank you again for the visit, I shall return certainly and bravo for your initiative, it is a beautiful project. Good day to you.
